WHY THIS MATTERS
We are Pentecostal on purpose.
THE FEW should not prepare students merely to attend Pentecostal churches. It should help them understand and live Pentecostal faith.
The Holy Spirit is not an atmosphere, emotion or impersonal force. He is the Holy Ghost - fully God, eternally one with the Father and the Son.
He works in salvation and sanctification. He empowers believers for witness and service. He distributes spiritual gifts. He produces holy fruit. He leads the church into worship, mission and obedience.
And the baptism with the Holy Ghost remains a real experience believers should seek - with speaking in other tongues as the Spirit gives utterance as the initial evidence.
FILLED.

Introduce students to the Holy Spirit as the third Person of the Trinity - not an "it," energy or spiritual atmosphere. Explore His divine personhood and His work in believers.

Teach sanctification subsequent to the new birth, holiness as God's standard of living and the Holy Spirit's work in forming a surrendered, clean and Christlike life.

KEEP THE CENTER
Pentecostal does not mean careless.
We make room for genuine encounter with the Holy Spirit without abandoning Scripture, holiness, order, discernment or Christ-centeredness.
Scripture before spectacle. Experience is understood and tested through the authority of God's Word.
Jesus remains central. The Spirit glorifies Christ; spiritual ministry should never become personality-centered.
Holiness matters. Spiritual manifestation is never a substitute for a sanctified and obedient life.
Gifts serve people. The manifestations of the Spirit are given for ministry and the common good.
Tongues are not manufactured. The biblical language is "as the Spirit gives utterance." Leaders create space to seek God; they do not manufacture evidence.
Power sends us. Acts 1:8 connects Spirit empowerment directly to witness.
EVERY SESSION RESPONDS
Don't only explain Pentecost.
The module should create biblically responsible opportunities for students to pray, surrender, seek, listen, respond and be equipped.
Open Scripture. Every experience is grounded in what the Bible actually teaches.
Ask honest questions. Students need room to understand, wrestle and grow without embarrassment.
Call for surrender. Spirit-filled discipleship begins with lives yielded to God.
Make room to seek. Prayer cannot be reduced to a rushed closing exercise.
Never manufacture. Leaders pray, teach and encourage. The Holy Spirit gives utterance.
Send them to live it. Encounter should produce witness, service, holiness and love.
