Spirit-filled life is more than one encounter. It is a life continually surrendered to God, shaped by holy fruit and empowered for witness.

If students finish SPIRIT believing Pentecost is mostly about what happens at an altar, the module is incomplete.
The Church of God affirms a Spirit-filled life that includes holiness, the fruit of the Spirit, spiritual gifts, worship, witness and dependence on the Holy Ghost.
This final week should bring everything together.
The Holy Spirit is God. He sanctifies. He empowers. He gives utterance. He distributes gifts. And He forms a life that looks increasingly like Jesus.

Ask students: "If you could watch someone's life for a month, what would convince you they were really walking with the Holy Spirit?"
Let them answer before reading Galatians 5.
The Spirit does not only produce moments. He produces a life.

Walk in the Spirit.
Paul does not describe the Christian life as an occasional encounter with the Spirit.
He says to walk in the Spirit.
Walking is ordinary. Repeated. Daily. Directional.
A Spirit-filled life is built through ongoing surrender, not only memorable spiritual moments.
Galatians 5:16 · Romans 8:14

Fruit matters.
Paul names love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.
These are not optional personality upgrades.
They are evidence of the Spirit's transforming work.
A person can talk about spiritual experiences and still desperately need growth in character.
The Spirit who empowers also transforms.
Galatians 5:22-25

Holiness remains central.
Spirit-filled living never cancels the call to holiness.
It strengthens it.
The Holy Spirit does not empower us to live impressive church lives while tolerating hidden disobedience.
The same God who gives power also calls us to a clean, consecrated and obedient life.

Keep being filled.
Ephesians 5:18 tells believers to be filled with the Spirit.
Spirit baptism is a real Pentecostal experience, but dependence on the Holy Spirit does not end there.
We continue yielding. Continue praying. Continue worshiping. Continue listening. Continue depending.
Yesterday's encounter is not a substitute for today's surrender.

Power still has a purpose.
Acts 1:8 remains central.
The Spirit empowers believers to become witnesses.
A Spirit-filled life should move outward: toward lost people, hurting people, service, compassion, prayer and mission.
Pentecost should make us more available to Jesus' mission, not more fascinated with ourselves.

Stay connected to Jesus.
Spirit-filled living is not a technique.
It grows out of abiding relationship with Christ.
Jesus says a branch cannot bear fruit by itself.
We remain in Him. His Spirit works in us. His character becomes visible through us.
The goal is not to become impressive Pentecostals. The goal is to become people who look more like Jesus.

MAKE IT PRACTICAL
Look at the fruit.
Don't ask students only, "Have you had a spiritual experience?"
Ask what the Holy Spirit is actually producing in their daily life.
How am I relating to God?
Prayer, worship, surrender, Scripture, obedience and dependence.
What is changing in me?
Love, patience, purity, self-control, humility, peace and Christlike character.
How am I serving others?
Witness, compassion, spiritual gifts, encouragement, generosity and mission.

Build a rhythm.
The end of SPIRIT should become the beginning of a student's daily life with the Holy Spirit.
Three questions each morning.
Pray: "Holy Spirit, what do You want to change in me? Who do You want me to serve? Where do You want me to obey?"
Look beyond vocabulary.
Is the student becoming more prayerful, more obedient, more loving, more courageous and more available for ministry?
Talk about fruit.
"Which fruit of the Spirit do you most want God to grow in your life right now?"
LEADER GUARDRAIL
Don't let Pentecost become an event.
The module should leave students wanting both the power of the Spirit and the character of Christ.
KEEP FRUIT AND GIFTS TOGETHER Supernatural ministry does not replace holy character.
A truly Spirit-filled life should show both the Spirit's power and the Spirit's fruit.
KEEP DEPENDENCE DAILY Don't teach students to live off yesterday's encounter.
Encourage continual prayer, surrender, worship and sensitivity to the Holy Spirit.
KEEP WITNESS CENTRAL Spirit-filled people are sent people.
Acts 1:8 still defines the outward purpose of Pentecostal empowerment.
KEEP JESUS CENTRAL The Spirit glorifies Christ.
If our language about the Spirit makes Jesus less central, something has gone wrong.
KEEP HOLINESS CENTRAL Power never excuses compromise.
Church of God Pentecostal doctrine remains inseparable from sanctification and holy living.
THE MODULE IS COMPLETE Now disciple the life.
Don't treat Week 6 as graduation from the Holy Spirit. Keep prayer, gifts, holiness, witness and Spirit-led living woven through the rest of THE FEW.
